Conferences and Visitor Services (CVS) began as a central planning office for on
campus conferences. Since its inception, CVS has provided assistance to more than 5000 programs
and events. These include youth groups, competitions
and athletic camps, conferences, workshops, meetings for professional associations, educational
programs, seminars and campus-wide events.
CVS is comprised of three main areas of focus, each unique in scope. They are: Summer
Conference Services, Meeting Planning Services, and Visitor Services.
Each focus area stands behind CVS' main tenet; to promote outreach, service and research by enabling and enhancing programs and services that advance the educational mission and service of the University of Maryland.
