How long is the summer conference season at The University of Maryland?
A: Our season lasts from the end of May until mid August. Peak conference times are in late June and most of July. While our summer conference season is limited to the summer months, our office remains open year round to service your needs and ensure your conference experience is well organized.
Do you offer conference services any time other than the summer?
A: Our Meeting Planning Services office provides services year round. Offering a experienced, knowledgeable staff to guide you through all phases of the meeting planning process whether your conference is held on or off campus, we coordinate all logistical details to ensure your event runs flawlessly.
Is campus housing available anytime other than the summer?
A: The University of Maryland houses over 8000 students in residence halls from late
August to early May every academic year. Unfortunately, housing is not available during
this time. There are numerous lodging choices in the area in the case that you plan to visit during the academic year.
Do I have to take meals with my room accommodations?
A: Summer Conference Guests are not required to purchase a campus meal plan, but it is highly recommended.
What do I do if I have special dietary needs (ie: vegan, kosher, etc)?
A: Most special dietary needs can be arranged providing adequate advance notification is given prior to your visit to campus. Special needs are likely to incur additional charges.
